Spike Cutler you are a dead man!!

He must be looking for a woman :blowingkisses: Why else would you go to Florida when it's cold and wet in Michigan?!

Well Ed, about time you bought an airplane. Let'see...Not a Cherokee this time...and you're a guy that likes to move up.

I predict a retract high-performance single...

he was always talking about a Comanche. Maybe CarolT has decided to sell hers?

Ed's buying a Tiger......on floats???

:D

Well, I'm not at liberty to disclose. However, as Ed Fred and I did have the pleasure of a BMI Sunday AM brunch 4/25, I will say he bought a ticket to FL for the coming weekend and it is directly because of prodding by Spike......

Did breakfast increase his Body Mass Index much?

But how is Ed supposed to get the 727 in and out of 6Y9????

But how is a Tiger supposed to get out of 6Y9? Everyone knows Tigers can't take off from soft fields!

Its a conundrum isn't it?

:D

I'm thinking he's picking up a nice V-tail. I hope so. Great plane.

Is he going to JAX then to throw us all off of the trail??
When I've been to Cecil Field (VQQ) in Jacksonville to visit my parents, there was a 727 there on the ramp. The guys at the FBO told me it had been landed so hard it was buckled. I guess they found their sucker....er...buyer.

My Wife is in Buffalo KS for a long weekend she could get it back to Wings if you could get it to Chanute KS.

thanks for the offer bob but i've actually got an airline flight booked to go to Wings myself!

You can't slip a plane with full flaps....you will die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

clip wing 727 should be able to make the approach. bring it in just like the Tri Pacer.

Dan Gryder took the DC-3 in there last year and only had 10 feet of clearance on each side. Wingspan on a -3 is 95 feet, so 115 feet between the trees.

A 727 wingspan is 108 feet. That leaves 3.5 feet on each side. Close. That is, if we are talking about Gaston's.

BUT, if you are talking about 6Y9, you would know better than I.

-EDIT- I noticed the reference WAS 6Y9. Disregard the above.

Naw, she's in the Carolinas. Besides, she'd never quote *me* a price, so if she sold it to Ed, my feelings'd be hurt, and bad. :D

Come On Ed buying a 727 is Dumb and Stupid:D

...and your point is...?

Its a conundrum isn't it?

:D

He should BE so lucky!

This from a lady that climbs to pattern altitude when landing:D

Hey, that being 500 ft AGL on 3 mile final can be tough to manage sometimes. ;)

Unfortunately, this Bo has a 509 (Eastern Washington) phone number, because it would fit Ed's description of "buying a 727"! It's a V-tail Bo, and has a MkIII AK-727 autopilot.

727 is a Florida Area Code, though... hmmm.

And this Bo is prettier... and in 727. Hmmm.... 2 days to find out!

Suspicious clue on the Red Board under the Left Seat/Right Seat category. Hmmm...

See how sneaky I can be. :yikes:

Yeah, we all know its a Bonanza. Get ready for all the false OWT's about parts, tails failing off and uncontrolibility in turbulence. :D

(nobody has told me this, but since Spike has a Bo, one can quickly deduce)
