Speed on Final to "Make the Runway" at 3 Degrees

OP, I like the data. I took it with a grain of salt as you intended and I like just the pure info of how much more speed it takes than I would have assumed. Much more productive than my typical lunch break of nodding off and trying to look interested in my coworkers personal stories.

So you train yourself to set X power and hold a stable 3 degree glide slope.

How does that help you when the engine has quit, and you are flying more like a 6 degree glide slope?????

Maybe one should practice more power OFF approaches and get used to the steeper angle.
You are actually making his point. He was being facetious.
