Southwest pilot gets locked out of cockpit, climbs through window before flight

What's the risk? It looks like the have a special rig for reaching the windows, maybe for cleaning or maintenance, or? It seems unlikely this was just a wild hair by the pilot.

Yes, for maintenance to use. Not for pilots to climb in windows. Had he fallen, no way workmans comp would have paid that claim. And we don't need photos of pilots squeezing themselves through windows on the internet.
 
I believe it is a satellite receiver for the inflight entertainment system.

Southwest apparently uses Viasat, Anuvu, and Panasonic for satellite internet.
