The original "I don't know it all" of aviation.
I think "Panel Overlay" is the right term. I'm referring to the vertical surface that has has all of the markings, placarding, instructions, etc., and covers the blank spaces between all of the instruments.
The club is embarking on improving our 1966 Bonanza V35. Existing overlay is the original that has been modified over time and is a bit of a hot mess. We're thinking of installing a new one to improve layout of instruments and "freshen up" various written information that needs to be on this surface.
