That's why you don't meet at your house. Hell, 90% of my group of local friends is because of craigslist. I was looking for a softball team years ago, placed an ad I was looking to play after not playing for a bunch of years. Got a response. Met a guy who I am still friends with. That connection led to playing on 6 or 7 other teams, becoming friends with people from those teams, joining a bowling league, and even a few dates. None of them ever threatened me or my family. Quite the opposite in fact.

Maybe you should look to buy some tinfoil on craigslist.
 
Just make sure there isn't any coleslaw involved.

Refuses to use craigslist to sell an old pickup 'for the safety of my family'. Tells complete strangers on an internet forum he's looking to buy a couple hundred thousand dollars worth of aircraft and will show up with cash. :rolleyes:

Years ago at some event my wife was asked by a woman if she was worried that I would be chasing flight attendants on overnights. Her husband just said, 'Honey, what were the flight attendants like on our last few flights?' That shut her up.
