I am here right now (tired as hell - I should have been asleep three hours ago as I get up at 530 AM to catch a ferry to Bergen) and have uploaded 50+ photos to flickr. There are some duplicates and I'm too tired to weed out the few that are there, tonight. By the time I'm done I bet I have no less than 300 photos to put on flickr...

Enjoy. BEAUTIFUL country BTW. Visit visit visit. Don't put it off. July is a great time to be here. It's still light out BTW - dusky light, to be sure.

Very nice!

I like how you have some shots with slightly different angles or framed differently- it let me see how a slight difference in compsition can change a shot. Really nice pictures- thank you for sharing!

Absolutely beautiful. Some real winners in there.

I admit to being very envious. My trip there was too short and focused in Bergen, some of the country around Bergen, and Oslo. In winter. The other two cities I did that trip (Stockholm & Copenhagen) are also on the list for a return trip. Stockholm first.

Thanks everyone! This is just.a.start. Lots and lots of photos... whew. We lucked out with the weather in a big way. One day of rain and the rest has been great. The weather gods go with me...

Some gorgeous shots there! That third or fourth picture with you in the valley makes me glad I wasn't flying there that day! Leslie and I both commented that you have a great eye. Doesn't it remind you a bit of New Zealand?

Thanks!

Grant, if you can believe it, that foggy day burned off around lunch and we had just about the blue-est sky day of the whole trip after that.

Update: I'm home, and have sorted more photos but no new ones up yet.

Norway makes Switzerland look CHEAP.

Cab fare from airport to Oslo: almost 200 bucks. Repeat two days later...

We went to Norway about five years ago, and like you, it was too short. We stayed in Bergen as well. The nice thing was that my wife has relatives who live in Bergen and we were able to visit them. As far as expensive, there were my wife, my two kids, and myself. On the last evening there, we went out for pizza. A large pizza, two soft drinks and two beers came to the equivalent of $80. That is expensive pizza.

WOW! Just, WOW!

I have a friend in Oslo. I do believe it is time to ring her and let her know I'm on my way. :D

My friends are okay. Just found out they moved to Bergen. I knew they moved in June but thought they stayed in Oslo.
