Rail Sciences has gone Teutonic!!!!!
Well, last week, our president announced he has sold the company to a German company.

I'm sure Scott has heard of them, as they do a LOT of testing in the EMC/EMI business in the EU.
We will

We were more than a lot shocked, we just sort of sat around in stunned silence. We thought he'd never give up control of his company. He says, that he has a contract to remain as president for 3 years. It remains to be seen if it will have a negative impact on me. They say nothing will change in our day to day operations, just we will have access to their capital and they will have access to our railroad contacts here in the states. Of course that remains to be seen. I was "bought out" 5 times in 10 years in Florida, so I'm the only one around here who has suffered this trauma before. More as things develop.
See attached.

We'll see.........

Hehe now you'll have to learn how to type the umlaut on a US keyboard :-)

TÜV has been around forever. In Germany they also perform the mandatory biennial vehicle safety inspections, and do a lot of other product safety inspection work. I wish you luch with your new owners though.

P.S. fur the Ü hold down the Alt key while typing 154 on the numeric keypad

They've been around for a long time. Decent reputation.

Welcome to the world of M&A. If they were smart, they'd be in there today talking with each of you. Integration is what makes a deal succeed or fail.

Never beleive the words "nothing will change..." in an acquistion. It don't work that way. Especially since you're not the only US entity they own.

Good luck.....

Best of luck with the Merger Keith. I'll keep my:fcross: that not only will you come out ok but comeout ahead!!

I'm going to the Netherlands in September to audit their EMC lab there for my employer. As other have noted, they've been around for YEARS.

Ich bin nach NÜrnburg gefahren. Ich habe TÜV besucht.

I was in high school and visiting some family friends. The dad owned a factory, so we went to the TÜV lab to check on the testing of some of his products. I love german factories. Clean and running like clockwork.

And every worker has their Blaumann work bibs on...

I'll set the over/under at 6 months for the former owner's future as CEO. Wagers?

That's what DHL told those poor schlubs in Wilmington.
