Actually, yes! NYC water is amazingly good!

(Many NY Bagel makers swear the bagels are best due to the water. Long Island water is also very good. The entire island is one big aquifer)

Well, I for one will agree that Illinois water sucks! :vomit: (Tho Milwaukee and anyone else that sucks their water out of Lake Michigan is also at a disadvantage. I love me my well!)

However, I must say that Chicago beats New York in pizza - I mean, New York pizza isn't much better than Lunchables - Same cracker crust, only bigger! :nono: But the real reason Chicago pizza is better is that they use a crapload of cheese. :D

Personally, though, I think both New York and Chicago pizza are kind of at the extremes. My favorite is Glass Nickel Pizza, started in Madison and now scattered around a few places in Wisconsin. Yummy!

Ummm... how do the terms "Madison" and "Wisconsin" relate to a discussion on the the world's best food?

Never been to Madison, have you? :nono:

I dunno if it's because of the large population of foreign students at the University or what but there's a TON of great ethnic restaurants in Mad-town... And even our "American" food (a la Glass Nickel) can be pretty damn good. Come on down, I'll show ya! There's a Brazilian place I've been meaning to try out...

But really, like I said - Both Chicago and New York "pizza" are really at the very extremes. I kinda like something in between.
