true, there are companies selling them on amazon for around 300 (with external antenna etc).. I can easily sell for less than that.

I don't see how an individual can compete with the $200 Foreflight Scout.

They $300 days are over. They are down to less than $200 pre-assembled now. Ifly GPS was selling them at Oshkosh (and still online) for $199.

looks like there are demands (showing sold out)... those are without battery pack and internal GPS. I believe I can do the same and rely on volume + I can throw in a USB cable and a double sided Velcro mount
