I used to fly out of there before they paved the runway. I had an engine failure on take off, westbound! Almost not here to talk about it. But very nice people. Pure GA. Maybe I will drive there.

Great show. Some clown crossed the runway as we were taking off last year. It gets busy, be careful.

Wasn't there a guy named Dave who was here at POA in the early days from Smoketown? Shipoke maybe? Haven't seen him here in years.

I had a plane repainted at a shop in Smoketown. They did a great job. There is also a fabulous Fairchild 71 based there. I saw it at Oshkosh this year.
