Well done to the pilot and instructor for getting it down safely without injuries, inside or outside of the cockpit.

I didn't much care for the 3-second sound byte of a random passerby browbeating the pilot. "Someone could have gotten hurt" - Yes, but nobody did. You can thank the pilot's skill and quick thinking in a high-stress situation for that. Some people...

The area around KPMP is fairly crowded and not many areas to do an off site landing. There are a number of airports in the area that are pretty close to each other. My guess is that there was a sudden loss of power and not many choices. The outcome could have been a lot worse. Kudos to everyone.

Glad they made it out. I was nervous watching that video, it sure looked like they were running out of energy trying to clear the traffic signals.
