It's probably been a month or so since I've used SkyVector last, but either they cut out some pretty valuable functionality or I'm having issues with my computer. You used to be able to right-click on the map to bring up a menu of things in the area and then left-click on an airport name in order to get details about that airport (diagram, runway info, approaches, etc). Now, when I right click I get the menu but can't left click on the airport name for details anymore. Anyone else seeing this behavior or is it just me?

Edited to add:
It looks like it's just some airports that are giving me trouble. For instance, I was trying to find info for 1C5 but can't click the airport name. If I try KDPA or KARR, though, I can get details for them.

Seems to still work fine to me, I leave it up at work all day, crappy mini tower dell running Winblows 7 and chrome.

Works fine for me (using Chrome, if it makes a difference).

I take it back. Based on the OP's edit comment, I get about half of the airports coming up with the clickable link now.

Can you get details for different airports (for instance, 1C5)? As I move around the sectional, it looks like I can get details for Class B, C and D airports... but not Class E. Maybe I've changed a setting somewhere?

Strange that I'm seeing this behavior in 4 different browsers over two different laptops...

I normally use FltPlan for that, but think so, I'll try when I get to work.

Zoom level can have an effect on my ability to pull up the airport info as you mention. If it doesn't work when I right-click, I use the scroll wheel to zoom in and try again.

Doesnt work for me either. Seems like the smaller airports are not working.
Mac with Chrome.

I noticed this happening a month or two ago, also just with smaller airports, but then the problem resolved itself after a few days. But now, as of today, it is doing it again.

When I right click on an airport, there are two outcomes:

tiny airports: I just see the name and identifier code, with no hyperlink, e.g.
MONMOUTH MUNI (C66)

medium-size airports and larger (not sure, but maybe it's the airports that have instrument approaches) I see not only the name and identifier code, but also a hyperlink to click to bring up a page with info about airport, e.g.
IOWA CITY MUNI (KIOW)

Here's hoping it resolves itself again soon. How else am I supposed to pass the last afternoon of a workweek?? :wink2:

This is the same thing I'm seeing, though it isn't whether they have instrument approaches or not because 1C5 and 57C both have approaches but don't have the link. I know the charts around here renewed today, so maybe there's an issue with whatever SkyVector uses for their data load of that information?

I can get details for all airports except private ones (and =can= plan with them as waypoints.)

Full functionality appears to be restored, and then some! Right clicking on the airport symbol gives a link to the airport details as it did previously (large and small airports alike), but now you can do that for private airports too. I don't recall that being an option before (though maybe it was?).

Has been buggy since day ONE! Almost unusable on Smart Phone...

It has a lot of "mouse-over" and "right-click" functionality, so I'm pretty sure it was intended for use with a mouse-based PC/Mac and not with a Smart Phone. Just a thought...
