Silly speed enforcement sign

Speed limits need to be reasonable. This road seems to be wide open and I didn't see any cars that are going at an unreasonable speed....

:wink2:

I never understood how a plane could enforce a speed limit. The sign doesn't make sense!!!

The video was hilarious. The honest answer to the question posed here is "with a stopwatch". Ever see circles or blocks painted in the middle of your lane and wonder what they are for? They are timing marks. They time cars between the blocks with a stop watch then call the car that is sitting just down the road waiting "Silver Camaro, 70mph"...."Yep, that's him" and the car writes you a ticket. Before the days of radar, these signs were pretty common.

How do they get your plate number from the air? You sure they're not just using cameras on the ground?
Colorado enforces by air also. The airplane radios a description of the car to the officer on the ground. They use a couple of C-182s, at least they did about 10 years ago.
