Sigh. Yet another Colorado fatal (in Wyoming)

Members,

We are saddened to report that CPA member Bob Dawson and his wife, Elaine, were fatally injured yesterday (8-14-11) in a crash of their Turbine-powered Bonanza while returning to Denver from the Driggs ID CPA Fly-In. The wreckage was located in mountainous terrain approximately 19 miles west of Lander, WY.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to their family members. We expect to be notified of services when those arrangements are made. Anyone wishing to have this information should contact us.

That's really sad to hear Nate. Thoughts and prayers for their friends and family.

I know Walt Barbo from my CPA days when I lived there, but I don't remember Bob and Elaine.

It was the third fatal plane crash in the Wind River Range within the past year. A total of seven people died in the other two crashes.

This is a somewhat remote area of Wyoming but quite a few airplanes seem to end up there.

Bob and Elaine Dawson's funeral service is set for Sunday, August 28th 2:00 p.m. at Southeast Christian Church in Parker, CO. Two sons Mike and Lonny still live in the area.
