The big stuff. Like 737’s or maybe a tad bit smaller. I did 707 once from SFO to OAK. I don’t think anyone one got off at OAK, they just loaded up more passengers. TWA used to BUR LGB. Do real short hops like that still happen?

JetBlue STT to SJU would be about as short as I have seen and less than 60 KM…

The shortest I’ve done was DTW to FNT which I think is a little more than 40 miles. I’ve done repo flights from JFK-LGA and vice versa but those flights didn’t have an pax on them.

I think you guys dropped Flint as a destination now, didn't you?

Around 1990 I took a USAir flight from Ithaca to Pittsburg that made a stop in Elmira (maybe 25 miles away). I think it was a DC-9. But they didn’t tell anyone who got onboard that there was a scheduled stop, so there were a lot of concerned looks when we started descending immediately after takeoff.

The LAN to DTW run is 64nm. I don't think there is a FNT to DTW run anymore.

Not sure. I’ve only done that route a few times with Endeavor when I first started. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got rid of it. My dad used to fly that route a lot on the DC9.

I was once on a ERJ from CVG to DAY (Cincinnati to Dayton). My understanding is that there was once a DC-10 or other widebody that would fly that route, then go international from DAY.

Had I looked at a map I would have probably just booked to CVG. Where we were staying was about halfway between anyway.

Alaska flies twice a day between Petersburg and Wrangell. Once each way. 27 miles. In the Summer months, Alaska flies once a day between Juneau and Gustavus. 36 miles.

US Air used to fly Elmira, NY to Ithaca, NY, about 28 miles in a DC-9.

We operated SDF-MEM for a while using the classic 747s back quite a few years. Not overly short but it’s pretty damn short for a 747.

I flew that route in reverse: OAK to SFO. These were the last two stops on a cross-country milk run. KBDL - KSFO. I can't remember all the stops but IIRC there were 5 in total. But it was cheap!

I’ve flown the 9.7 mile route PGSN-PGWT about 2000 times. Not quite the shortest and granted it was mostly in a PA32, but an interesting one and scheduled service nonetheless!

Delta once flew for years from FLL to PBI with a 757. 37 miles and they did it non stop!
