Looking for advice on a shipping company. I bought a complete set of seats for my cessna 172 and need to ship them from California to Pennsylvania. Which companies should I consider? The seller is willing to put them on a pallet but not much else....
Thanks

PM me an email address.

I have a 3rd party load broker that specializes in getting good LTL rates. I'll share the details with you when I'm in the office tomorrow.

I sold a set of seats and shipped them from Ca to Fl. I went to Home Depot got 2 large boxes, put one seat in the box, put the second seat up side down and took the second box or the top of the first, went to UPS and insured and shipped, no damage.

I've had a pair of car seats shipped to me that way. You'd be surprised what you can send by UPS.

One thing you can look into is Greyhound. My wife bought some furniture on eBAY that came that way. They won't deliver to the house, you need to drop off and retrieve it from the bus station.

Fly to Cali. Install new seats. Fly home. No shipping charge, and lots of hours.

Yup, second the Grey hound idea. Check out their pricing versus the others. I've sent cowlings and tailfeathers from MD to CA and OK with no prob. h

Uship is the best thing we've ever used! We've been using that system to ship our larger items for years.

Put in what you need, and watch the bids roll in! Then watch them underbid each other to get the job. We love it and it ends up being very inexpensive for our business.

Lots of great ideas here! I like this one the best even though I just don't have time to do it. Thanks for all the ideas. I am looking into several and I am sure one will show itself to be the best for my needs. Thanks.
