I am flying into the San Francisco area on December 13 and back out on the 14. I have an event in the City and want to know how easy it is to access the City from either SFO or OAK. I hear the BART train goes from SFO how about OAK. I need to do this on the cheap so can't shell out the $$$ for a cab. Which is easier? Thanks for the PIREP

Which is easier?
Access to the City is much easier from SFO IMHO. You can take BART from SFO to downtown. You can also use the SuperShuttle for $15-20 including tip, which is what I do since my normal destination in the City is not near a BART station. There are also hotel vans if you are staying at a hotel.

There is a frequent shuttle from OAK to the nearest BART station. You can check the webs sites for info and a map of BART stations to see if they will work for you. The SFO BART station is in the airport now. Super Shuttle works good to as previously mentioned and may be more flexible...

Doesn't make a difference time or money wise.

OAK has a shuttle to the train. Either airport is fine, but OAK is smaller and has fewer delays.

Adam,

I've done the SFO - BART - City many times. Its a no brainer.
