Turns out I'm flying the Navajo to Seattle to move on the order of 60 cats out of the Joplin, MO area. I'm not sure which airport I'm flying into yet, but I'll be somewhere in the area.

I'll be happy to have the turbos to put to work out west. :)

Navajo? Upgraded from the Aztec ?

Negative. The Navajo is on loan for certain missions from my flight instructor. As I have it up here in Canada for the mission up here (moving a bunch of volunteer veterinarians, vet techs, and stuff around for their clinics), it's going to Seattle.

I would've wanted to take it anyway. Aside from being the appropriate size, the terrain I'm flying over really is best off with a turbocharged airplane. With the turbos, I can not only hit the MEAs (and much higher), I can go high for the flight home and take advantage of the tailwinds and higher TAS. Plus, 42" on takeoff is much nicer than 23". :)

Let us know your plans, maybe we can do lunch or ?

I would enjoy that, Tom.

Current tentative schedule (subject to change) is that I'm arriving in Seattle Friday late afternoon, probably 4-5 PM. I need to be back in Canada in time to take the team home on Monday, so I need to leave either Saturday or Sunday, it doesn't much matter which.

I'm at KOLM. If you wind up down here let me know and we can get together.

Do a short hop up to BVS and we can do lunch at the Kitty Hawk Cafe, it's on the field, as is my new hangar, and F-24.

I'm awake (far too early) and we're going to be loading up the Navajo shortly. We're flying into KAWO, so actually pretty close to BVS.

I'm still not certain of my arrangements for the night and tomorrow/day after, but I'm thinking more than likely I'll stick around for at least part of tomorrow before starting my return trip to Canada.

Barb and I are loading the M/H and will be spending most of the weekend at the hangar call me on my cell 1-360-202-0961

our hangar is G-103 last hangar in the row on the south side of BVS.

I hope to Valhalla you don't have a load of cats when flying at those altitudes. You could easily stroke out the little dears.

Well, Flightaware says you got into AWO a little bit ago. How'd you like flying in our corner of the world on such a beautiful clear day?

It was excellent, a great day to fly all around. The terrain once I hit Colorado was gorgeous, all of which added to the flight.

I'm still working on what I'm going to do tomorrow. I'm pretty tired at the moment. Most likely I'll wake up, swing by BVS to meet Tom and get some cheaper fuel, and then head to somewhere in North Dakota before going to Winnipeg. May end up spending the night there depending on what time all of this starts. I'm not setting an alarm tomorrow, that's for sure.

Sorry that I ended up not hopping by BVS or calling. By the time I got to the airport, it was later than expected, and turned out the fuel prices were around the same. So I headed east and then up to Winnipeg. Maybe next trip I'll be able to spend some more time!
