For those of you in the upper midwest, the Gathering of Warbirds will be on May 27th at Waukesha (KUES):

Hosted by the Wisconsin Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, we'll have static and flying displays of vintage military aircraft from WWII trainers to jets. The B-25 Miss Mitchell will be available for rides.

Have always had a great turnout, great planes, and great pilots - come on out.

Can you fly into this event?

Yes, the airport will be open as usual and tower will be providing guidance to transient aircraft. Even with the warbirds visiting there is lots of parking available. All local ATC is very friendly and I've always had KMKE take me on for FF.

By the way, we'll have a couple of F86's, P51s, T6, SNJ, Chipmunk, some a/c from the Canadian AF, and possibly an F18.
