Scotts trip to Brunei makes sense now.

I don't know who that helps you to understand. Brunei is off the coast of Malaysia (to the east) and is part of the island of Borneo south of Vietnam and has nothing to do with the UAE or RIM. It is a Muslim country though. The first place I ever had my luggage searched when coming into a country looking for liquor.

In fact RIM did not even exist at the time of my trip. This was still in the old analog days.

What this article should raise is a question as to why RIM and the Blackberry was selected as the US government's data tool of choice for homeland security notifications of elected and critical officials.

Yeah I know that. I was getting at the abilty of a monarch or gov't to put the kabash on an entire network or supplier etc. Remember I raised the question in a previous post. And yes it does rais those other questions as well.
