Also scored 13/13. By far, it looks like the most difficult question for the general public is the dominant gas in the atmosphere. Bets on whether the most common answer was CO2? :)

There are two. Seems the females beat males on the drug-related questions.

13/13 for me and it still says 7% got this score out of 1006 who have taken it. Kind of sad I guess.
 
lololol at the which gas do most scientists think causes atmospheric temperatures to rise. I wonder how many people fell for "helium" :rofl:

There's a footnote that says they are not counting Internet responses in their official results tabulation. Don't worry, they will send you a gold star though! :D

I wonder what the true intent of this survey is? I can't imagine the Pew Research center really cares about how many people answer all 13 correctly. I would guess they are more interested in the questions concerning the controversial topics (global warming, fracking etc).

13 / 13. Kinda guessed in the electron question. For some reason I was thinking it was bigger. Then thought, duh, it has electrons. 20 yrs since I took any college science.

An electron is part of an atom so must be smaller.

The thing that surprised me was only 20% of people got that nitrogen is the chief constituent of the atmosphere, seriously?:dunno:
 
Very simple test in my view.
America that once sent human beings to walk on other worlds should be polling far better. Not a surprise to me sadly, but still deeply disturbing.

Actually, we beat you in two... both medical-related questions, and one which was really about scientific reasoning, and the only question that wasn't strictly about factual knowledge.
 
13/13. Test needs a time component for further differentiation of superior intellect :frog:

Wife: 11/13
15 yr old daughter: 13/13 (completed just as fast as I did)
12 yr old daughter: 10/13
10 & 8 yr old sons: Refused to take on policy grounds. Should only have to take tests in school.

I'm a bit shocked to see only 20% of the populace knows N2 is the major constituent of the atmosphere.
 
I think people may be getting a bit thrown off by the fact Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe and confusing it with the contents of our atmosphere.
