Line Up and Wait
Well, I like 'em. Here's my personal P-51:
Beautiful plane - I love Ovations. Wish I had an Ovation budget, but alas I do not. As long as I stay single though I should be able to afford my 201, and have enough left over to fly it some.
Looks good but does it fly without an alternator?
I'm like the statue of liberty when it comes to aircraft.
Give me your old, your ugly, your backwards asses.......
or something like that?
In other words, I'll take anything
One of the best songs I've heard has a chorus: "She ain't pretty, she just looks that way".Ironically enough, the Globe Swift is sort of how I've heard Taylor Swift described by her ex boyfriend. She's great to look at, but can be a bit of a nightmare to actually deal with for more than a little while.
the OP's hangar floor is indeed beautiful.
They clean it like 3x a week
I know/hope this is in jest.
If you ask a mooney owner about maintenance that is when they start to fidget and quickly change the subject.
Bah. The Ovation has been excellent. Aside from oil changes, over the past almost-year it's been:
1) Roll servo (made by King)
2) Autopilot computer repair (made by King)
3) Recognition light (made by Whelen)
4) Two landing lights (made by GE)
5) CHT probe (made by Insight)
6) I think that's it.
The parts of the plane that are actually made by Mooney have been completely flawless so far.
The only mooney issue david had was the tank reseal. Yes an expensive job but its a once every 10 years thing if done right.
A certain amount of leaking is permissible. Our club leaves the mooneys filled to 50 gallons and if you fill them up over 50gal, (save for 68x) you'll get some leaking. Airworthy leaking though
