100% CGI for the flying sequences, and then a race to see how much swearing the flight crew can do when on the ground.

I think it was a direct to dvd film, got it at redbox:rolleyes:

So is it worth seeing?

Thanks. I'll check it out.

Last weekend I watched a movie called Kill Speed. Plot was pretty thin in areas but it was mostly flying scenes with 3 lancair legacy's so that made it worth it Wonderful aerial filmography.

I was WONDERING what happened to that film. I saw it in a "Coming Attraction" at the theater last spring, and then *poof* -- nothing.

So it went straight to DVD, eh? And their ENTIRE budget was $200K? Doesn't sound promising...

CGI doesn't justify $20 much less $200K.

So in Forrest Gump, they should have just cut off Lt. Dans legs? Or just told you Forrest was great at Ping Pong?

CGI is awesome, when done right (and well worth the money).

The Amazing Randi set up Capt Dan's legs, and he doesn't know jack about computers. Wasn't CGI.

Just saw Memphis Belle again over the weekend. Great, great movie, no computers, didn't have them back then. I have to admit, might be nice to see a thousand B17's instead of 3. That said, the preview didn't look like a $200K movie.

Reminds me of Skyline. $500K to shoot, ten million for the effects. Looked pretty good, too.

Don't bother watching that pathetic movie....:rolleyes2:

A lot of swearing, a lot of shooting...a bit like "Red Tails" - only worse...

The CGI removal of actor Gary Sinise's legs, after his character had them amputated, was achieved by wrapping his legs with a blue fabric, which later facilitated the work of the "roto-paint" team to paint out his legs from every single frame. At one point, while hoisting himself into his wheelchair, his legs are used for support.

I love how in that movie they had 2 lancairs intercept an L-39 and force him to RTB.:rofl::rofl:
They even got the low level flying completely wrong.

Some time ago in the netflix commented "This movie could have been much better with the addition of some basic aviation knowledge", 23 people agreed.

I very shamefacedly stand corrected. I was under the impression that the art of illusion was used (way cheaper than CGI), and the Amazing Randi was attached to the project. I am obviously in error, my apologies.

I watched about fifteen minutes of kill speed before I shut it off. :dunno:

Its a great movie if you just hit mute and watch the flying. :D

No it's not, remember the scene where they had an L-39 flying though the city streets and then safely land in traffic.

And remember the cop car flipping over because an L-39 flew by? :mad2:

No, watch the trailer for best scenes. Problem wasn't budget, just the script.:dunno:

Hollywood doesn't do scripts. Scripts take talent to write. They use all their money on special effects, one special effect to another...THAT's what the (Comicbook) public wants...

I don't mind a bit of CG product in a movie as long as it's used well (like 2 B-24's midairing) and not to make a 1969 Dodge Charger ramp 50 feet, roll 200 times and end up on it's wheels and continue the chase...:yikes:.

Since the 1990's I have expected little out of Hollywood. I have seldom been disappointed...
