What if one were to obscure the aircraft's N number? It seems like it would be child's play to simply white out the last digit or letter, and let the camera automatically bill...no one.

How about a baseball bat to the side of the landing fee camera?

A search of the AOPA site suggests that airport closure efforts are a problem nationwide.

When Bakersfield was talking about closing its GA airport, the FAA pointed out that the city's obligation to keep it open ran in perpetuity, because land was acquired with federal funding. Hopefully, the FAA will take a similar stand with regard to SMO.

After getting a bill from Vector last week for $70 to land at East Hampton, NY airport, I am beginning to think that's a great idea!

As usual, the bill was wrong and should have been $7. E-mails and Fax's back and fourth to resolve it. What a waste of time and energy...

Wonder how many just pay it and take the screwing!!!
