Said goodbye to my dad tonight..

My dad and I have, luckily, enjoyed many years in aviation together... He is now 88 and in declining health... Hard to watch...

My condolences to you and your family... Sounds like he was a real patriot... Not enough of those around these days...:(
 
I am very sorry for your loss, I can relate as my Dad also passed away 3 months ago at age 80. In his passing I am very grateful for 2 things: (1) he kept his marbles to the very end and (2) starting about 20 years ago I never took a single minute with him for granted.

From reading your post it sounds like the same applies to you, and you can take great solace in that.
