Russian Floating Nuke Plant Bankrupt / Seized

No, it's not, and we have the plants sitting there eating money doing nothing for us. THIS is why we are in financial trouble, lack of efficiency. We as taxpayers payed a lot of money to build a lot of equipment. Could we please retask these huge investments that we are paying interest on into a job that makes money please? I had no problem with having them, and we still have plenty of capacity to fulfill even the Cold War mission using newer technology. These are all very viable and high quality American made machines. I realize the submarine platform may not be the most efficient, but it will probably be the most socially acceptable. The nature of a submarine though makes it very secure against natural disaster. If something goes wrong, scuttle it in the abyss. Nature plays way rougher down there than a nuclear reactor does and there is no lack of water at pressures so high it can't boil. There is a potential for creating Godzilla though....

I came very close to submitting a resume to OPS until they ran into licensing issues.

The Navy has enjoyed a modicum of success with the concept over the years.
