You're slow today, Nate!
No kidding. Work has been nuts with a key person out on vacation and six others out on vacation or training this week.
Just kinda holding my own this week. No significant headway on anything important.
Did find a little time to slap FreeNAS on an old Dell 6450 with an external RAID array in the lab stuffed with brand new 36GB Ultra-SCSI 160 drives that were in the recycle bin to be tossed. 400 GB of hardware RAID 5 tastiness.
Only I don't want to think about the fact that I could have accomplished the same thing with two $50 500GB USB drives, since the old Dell turned out to have a BIOS bug that was causing the FreeBSD kernel to crash that took a couple of hours to figure out.
I forgot that 90's servers with quad Xeon PIII processors don't like 4GB of RAM too much. LOL.
Waste of time, but now we have a dedicated SMB/CIFS, NFS, FTP, TFTP, AFP, rsync, and whatever else box in the lab for shuffling bits around.
