There were two Olympic medal winners on board.

Formation flying requires coordination and training.

Dang. Video really hammers home how unforgiving a midair collision is when flying. What would be a fender bender in a car, boat, etc... is often game over in an aircraft.

Didn't this same thing happen a year or so ago in Nevada or Arizona involving an AH-1 helicopter filming a reality show for an overseas TV network?

I think the AA1 was filming for the US version of Top Gear. No fatalities, but he broke the plane pretty good.
