Hi all,
My plane was just delivered and I only flew it a couple hrs when I noticed a leak at the oil pump inlet nipple (bottom left brass fitting in attached pick)
By twisting the hose, the nipple would move.
So I tightened it with a wrench. It tightened until it bottomed out. Seems like it needs a washer, but the parts diagram only shows loctite.
How did the nipple get loose if the hose was clamped tight? Wouldn't that prevent it from loosening?
Should that nipple be able to bottom out?
I'm leaning towards it being cracked due to the above...does this make sense?
Does any one have experience or knowledge of this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
