Review of a "1964 Cherokee Archer II" found on facebook

Not gonna lie, kinda disappointed in Mr. RCR. Fair amount of misinformation there, makes me question the credibility of the information in his previous videos.
 
Were there Archers in 64?? I thought Archers were taper wing Cherokees that started showing up in the mid 70s and everything was Hershey bar wing before that.

I looked up the tail#, it's a 1974 PA-28-180....
 
I literally want to change my username to "Ronald J Flighthound" hahaha

Ok maybe not really but it was a funny video lol
 
Needs to do his homework before striking out ,into the airplane market.

Not quite correct.

1962-72 PA-28-180 "Cherokee 180" -- short body, 30' span Hershey bar wing
1973 PA-28-180 "Cherokee Challenger" -- long body, 32' span Hershey bar wing
1974-75 PA-28-180 "Cherokee Archer" -- long body, 32' span Hershey bar wing, cosmetic changes only
1976-95 PA-28-181 "Cherokee Archer II" -- long body, 35' span tapered wing. "Cherokee" name dropped in 1978.

It's a 1975 model (per the serial number), built in late 1974.

He won't even be ashamed of his work.
 
Honestly I think he's just a non-pilot guy goofing around at an aviation event and trying(failing) to digest and repeat the tons of correct and incorrect information given to him by people at said event.

According to the serial number (28-7505027) it's a 1975 model. FAA registration data only shows the calendar year in which the airplane was built, not model year.

The pic I posted was my first plane. I had 1.5 hours in my log book when I bought her.... Flew it 600+ hours , sold it for twice what paid....

Yours looks just like the '75 Warrior pic from Piper ... Except the stripe on the main gear pant is wrong.

Yeah it was factually incorrect, but I laughed my arsss off!

How do you guys find these old pics of these planes?!?! I'd love to see an old pic of my plane.
 
Came here to post this, seems I was beaten. I love the bit about the exhaust.

This internet is a wonderful thing..... You can find just about anything...

When I sold my plane in 89, the buyer brought in a shipping container, removed the wings and tail and stuffed her inside it and then gave me some sad news..... Seems back then the military in the middle east were buying up as many low cost GA planes to use a drones to target practice since they were ALOT cheaper then test drones provided by the defense contractors...

I went on for years thinking my poor baby was launched, put on auto pilot and was shot down as target practice...:sad::sad::sad::sad:..

Then , few years back I googled the N number and found her..... STILL flying in the U.K....:):):):):):):):)..

Very cool story, Ben. I've tried searching for old pics of my plane, but haven't come up with anything.
