Ok, this is on a 172, but it still looks good to me (although I think the dark stripe would be better as "one" stripe rather than segmented).

Scott: the yellow and black scheme (derivative of the 195 you showed) is absolutely stunning, looks better than the yellow and red, and I believe will age better than any "modern" design (at some point, someone's gonna say, "I'm really sick of all these swoops and dips on airplanes.").

OK, here we are back with the original C195 adaptation. The outer black stripes looked to strong to my eye, so I thinned them, from 2" to 1.5".

Here's the same with the yellow area on the tailcone better adapted for a large N-number:

Go with the small N number. That way it will be harder for some nut who owns an olive farm to find you and sue you when you fly over his ranch while he is doing experiments on bacterial DNA!!!!
