Remote "ON/OFF" box -- Cell phone activated

Sometime in the last 12-18 months, there was a discussion about a DYI or pre-built box that would employ a cell phone as a means to switch a device on and off.

Usage discussed was to remotely turn on the pre-heater for your aircraft.

I'm thinking of a similar use, but replace the heater with a window a/c unit to "pre-cool" the interior.

If someone remembers the links or the pre-built box, I would appreciate sharing them again.
