Recover flash drive

Friends just returned from a cruise and discovered the SD card was corrupted. Any recommendations on software to recover anything possible?

Acronis True Image is one possibility. At least you might get a sector-by-sector backup of it that you can explore.

Nope, didn't work. The files have been corrupted. In fact, I can find most of them, but need something to repair them so I can move from the SD card to the hard disk.

That's why I download the pictures from the cameras to a computer every day on a trip. The netbook I got before a trip in 2009 wasn't the fastest thing on the planet, but it fit in my camera backpack with the rest of the camera gear and it was great to have the cameras backed up in case something happened to their memory cards.

What brand is the disk? Sandisk, kingston etc come with recovery software license and the recovery utility is usually downloadable from the manufacturer.
