Rebuilding my plane one part at a time

I guess I am rebuilding my plane one part at a time.
July 12 my attitude indicator stopped working and had to be rebuilt.
September 1 my landing gear motor burned up and I blew out my front tire all the same day.
Today my HSI stopped working.
Flying a plane is not cheap!!!!!'

Ain't got no attitude indicator, but the turn coordinator hasn't worked since I bought it.
Ain't got no gear motor or front tire.
What's an HSI?

I am looking at the AH from my first airplane. It is now decoration. I have replaced more parts in 18 years of ownership than I could easily recount. I wouldn't have it any other way. A different owner might not have replaced them...

Yeah, it's not the "firewall forward" stuff that's expensive, it's the "from the prop back" stuff that hurts.

I'm hoping to buy in the Spring.

Oh, there's your problem, you are stopping! Stopping is the very expensive part. Just keep flying, duh!

Debateable if repairing a plane or flying a plane, per hour, is more expensive.
