Re-ground crank or no?

Show me a crankshaft that was messed up by a certified machine shop.

It's long gone, but the one in my engine that failed was supposedly from a certified shop.
 
Well, let's see: Both Lycoming and Continental had to issue numerous ADs to replace crankshafts manufactured by certified machine shops.
We were talking about CRS screw ups. as you pointed out the best known crankshaft screw up was a manufacturer, not a certified machine shop.

Very seldom do we see these CRS make a big mistake this.

I had also mentioned two ADs against a bunch of cranks done by certified shops.

Yes, it's rare, but entirely possible. Humans work in them, after all.

In all of your years I doubt you have ever seen a crankshaft screwed up by a CRS. Heard of one maybe, read of one maybe, but actually seen one, no.
