It's been raining for 4 days, and not expected to stop until Wednesday.
I'm planning on flying Thursday morning. Probably a breakfast run to Sky Acres.
Anyone else going up this week?

It’s been brutal in the northeast! I’m planning on flying Friday am. Just went to Sky Acres last week. It’s been very quiet there the last few times I’ve been. Not sure why...

This Friday I’m hoping to take my mom on our once a year flight. We usually go to Groton as she likes that flight so I’ll hopefully get to do that!

Yeah I’m planning to fly on Wednesday night to get current again when the sun goes down.

Looks like Thursday is going to be the day to fly this week, chance of rain for the week end.

Had an FR on Saturday. No other prospects in sight except for some flying in Germany some time in September.

Yep, been terrible. I was supposed to shoot some approaches Saturday morning to get my currency back and the weather would have been perfect VFR, but the hangar door mechanism self-destructed and now they can't get the door open. They have no idea how long it will take to fix. Kind of like this weather... :(

Even if they get it fixed, my safety pilot is out of town for the rest of the week, and next week things get busy at work again before classes start. So I guess I'm going to go a year out of currency this time... :(

Loving the rain down here in the Dallas area. We had drought conditions and a long heat wave of 110°F temps not that long ago.

Lately morning temps have been in lo 70's. More please.

Where u out of?? In nepa the weather last few have been brutal. Rain is just coming down hard and often. The bands just seem to be lined right up on us!!! I have 2 hours of XC I need to get done (Working on IFR rating) between my schedule and this weather it’ll be the weekend. Was planning some night flight up to KBGM and bounce around and come back to KHZL but it’s not gonna happen!!

Maybe Tuesday morning for an instrument lesson, if it's better than forecast LIFR with fog, will be actual, been getting quite a bit of that lately.

One of the nicest summers we have had in SE AK in a wile (global warming and all)... Socked in the last few days going to clear Thursday thru the weekend..:)

Out of GBR in Great Barrington, MA.
Much more rain and we all start developing gills.

OK. That just sucks.
I hope they fix it in time for you.

Southern New England (and of course NY and PA) are getting hit a lot worse than we are here in central VT, enough to cause flooding in some areas. We aren't even getting enough rain to raise the water table - all the rivers are much lower than normal for mid-August, and the recent weather hasn't done anything to help that. It just drizzles most of the time, or enough of the time to ruin any outdoor activities.

And last I checked, there wasn't any end in sight to this weather pattern.

I'm in MD. That low you guys have up there is brutal. I just cancelled a trip up to the Finger Lakes for the weekend, I've had enough rain on my face. We're gonna head south, it'll be hot, but at least there be a little sun. Saratoga'll be there next year.

Would you divert some of that rain to the Pacific Northwest? We're having a drought over here.

Bob

I think we have a 10% chance of possibly having a chance of rain next week...

Although yesterday we had a 25% chance of it looking like it might rain.

1.2 in actual today, once the ceilings lifted. Rnav at PSM, broke out at 550. Fun stuff. 2 approaches.

I totally believe it. Even here in VT, Monday and yesterday would have been perfect for shooting approaches in actual, an exceedingly rare meteorological event in this area. Unfortunately I'm out of currency, and even if I was current, my plane is stuck behind a broken hangar door... :(
