Beginning the hunt for a R182, looking for a well-maintained and flying one that needs an engine soon, priced appropriately.

Wife's back issues require more comfort and ease of entry.

In the slightest chance of trading down - I have a 2021 Just Aircraft SuperStol XL, 2 7" Dynon Skyview IFR with AP, 915 Rotax/MT prop with FADEC, long range fuel, locking tailwheel with 21" tires on Berengers with a set of almost new 29" Airstreaks on Berengers also. LED lights. 1750# - ~730# useful. Never competed with or landed on grass after phase 1. <200 hours TTAE.

Factory built, all maintenance professionally done.

Would Cardinal suit your mission? Much easier for wife's access.
She is ok with 172's so 182 should be fine.

I think the R182 has longer range, more useful and no spar AD. Plus wanted to keep the plane at a home strip so the R182 has an edge with short field.

Was hoping to do the Air Plains 260 hp conversion on a R182.

Talked to a C-195 expert and he basically crushed my dreams of owning one. That was hard to take to heart, but at the end of the day something that can be easily worked on in Central America or anywhere in the US is far more practical for our needs.
