The early aa1s are great airplanes but they could use a little more power under the hood. With the wing design and low hp they can get into a mushing nose up descent well above stall speed that requires getting the nose down to trade altitude for airspeed. It’s a great plane and nothing to be scared of at all just need to figure out its limits and respect them.Well, signed the agreement, scheduled pre-buy and opened escrow on a 69 Yankee AA-1. Straight up stock engine/VFR. This is going to be fun
