The POH for my airplane lists Sensenich P/N 76EM8S5-0-60.

The PN of the prop on the airplane now(installed new in 2006) is a 76EM8S5-0-62.

I know that you can order fixed pitch props from Sensenich with different pitches, designated by a 2 digit number. So, I assume the last 2 digits are the pitch, correct?

What kind of pitch change would be designated for a higher number vs. a lower number?

The higher the number the coarser the pitch. IE: a climb prop would probably be -58 while a cruise prop would be -60.
The way I understand it the dash number is the number of inches the propellor moves forward per revolution in a no slip situation. (how big of a bite it takes out of the air)
Think of a prop as a screw, the coarser the thread the farther it will travel with each revolution. However, a prop (unlike a screw), has a larger number for a coarser pitch.

Oh BTW, the first two digits is the length from tip to tip in inches.

Correct....

On my 75 Warrior , it came with a 74 DM-6-058..... IRRC

During a prop overhaul I had it repitched to -060....

Helped in top end speed with little effect on the take off- climb performance.. IMHO..

Thanks guys, it's what I thought but wanted to verify.

Getting 2100 static, which is a bit lower than the book... The old engine did the exact same thing, I am going to get the tach checked. It's off, and my optical tach agrees.
