I started troubleshooting my primer problem today. There are four primer line segments between the gascolator and the distribution block. I took the one loose from the gascolator to where it goes through the firewall and blew it out. It was clear. No obstructions. Same with the line from the firewall to the primer itself. Now the line from the primer to the distribution block I left alone. In other words, I did not take it loose at the firewall. I did take it loose from the distribution block and blow it out. It was free and clear also. I pretty much suspected that was what I would find.
I took the primer out and checked the check valves. They both work as advertised.
Now for what I did find. There are two O rings on the primer plunger. Both were the right inside diameter, but one was smaller outside diameter than the other. I was not able to find O rings that were the right size today. I will have to work on that part on Thursday. But I suspect that what was/is happening is that the smaller O ring isn't sealing properly when it and the tube gets hot. As soon as I get the right size O rings on it, I will give it a good test and let you know what happens.
