"The instructor was scheduled to participate in the career day at the school. He was going to fly his plane to the school as a display.

Apparently when he got near the school, he realized there was no place to land near the school. The pilot then decided to land on Highway 43, a five-lane highway, north of Lawrenceburg and then drove the plane to the school."

just a wild guess but i’m betting that whatever school at which that pilot teaches now has a vacancy to fill. good thing Hwy 43 isn’t a toll road.

Wow. I could possibly understand that in Alaska, but not in the Continental US. Even Tennessee!

I'm just happy it wasn't a Cirrus.

And this is one reason why we pilots can't have nice things...:frown2:

That’s one instructor that wasn’t giving a ——

Guess he used hand signals when he had to turn or stop...

I thought this was going to be a link to The Onion...

with all the roadway landings these days maybe turn signals and brake lights should be required equipment

how 'bout just looking at a frickin' sectional. taking off without knowing where you're gonna land is pretty basic.
