By chance does anyone have a spare Plane Power case driven (Lyco) alternator shear link? Now that the company has been bought, the customer support is in the toilet.

time to switch to belts....

Wish I could.... No room in the front cowls for a belt driven alt.

I was doing a prop balance and was shutting the engine down from speed along with multiple hot starts. The link is a polypropylene type material and may have weakened with temp.

My machine shop did one up for me which will hold me over until I can get a few spares from Plane Power.
