So sad, may he/she rest in piece.

So far, no tail number, so I have no idea who it is, or what plane is was. Perhaps someone here can tell the type by looking at the rudder in the pic?

I haven't been flying for a while, and just today I though what a good day it would have been to go flying...:(

So sad.

Too bad it appears to be another of the dreaded 'engine stall' incidents.
ccording to some witnesses who saw the accident occur. it looks like the plane was doing some maneuvers, not sure whether the engine stalled
Perhaps they should ban engines in small airplanes.

I don't remember seeing any blue C172s parked near the FBO (But it could have been hangared). They also don't say wether the plane was based out of STJ, or just happened to have taken off from there.

If it was a local student pilot chance is I know the instructor. Now comes the typical question... what happened?...
