Plane crash. No pilot

Flying into Spinks (Ft Worth) this morning they told me the runway was closed and to land on the grass.

I see the plane upside down on the runway and ask "what happened there?"

Tower: "We found the plane upside down when we opened this morning, no body was in or around the plane and nothing was reported"

I am guessing somebody was up to no good.

Sorry for the pic quality this was what I managed to snap before I got my a$$ handed to me by someone investigating (story in lessons learned area)

Wonder why they didn't let you land on the taxiway?
 
Well, since this is the internet, how about some blind speculations?

Looks like a shiny bottom. No wheel pants. Maybe recently completed homebuilt? Pilot is embarrassed for smashing his years worth of work. Walks away from the scene. Files a claim of stolen airplane a few weeks later. Insurance kicks in.

Orrrrrrr....

Aliens. Always the options for aliens being involved.
 
It was a cherokee.

I wonder if maybe a student who wasn't signed off took it for a Joyride.
Henning told a story here (which I looked up and wish I hadn't) of 2 student pilots that were not certified and took a plane joy riding. They landed and didn't want to get caught carrying passenger so passenger jumps out of the plane and walks into the spinning prop.

I could see this being a situation where someone was doing something they shouldn't and so they bolted when things went south.

Dang, I should have noted the tail number. We taxied right past the damn thing.

Anyway, someone didn't want to be held responsible and left the scene.

Call FOX. Leave the barest of facts. They'll fill in enough of their own for a 3 minute segment including listing possible evildoers. Some aviation "expert" will expound on the data in the black boxes.

I will dig through my photos. My sister was right seat and snapping photos too.

Maybe the Oklahoma Wonder will qualify since he is our latest expert in all things aviation.

So who did the "ass-handing" for taking pictures, and what were the circumstances? If you were not violating any FARs, what was the beef? Or was it just another unusually intrusive and overstepping person acting under color of government authority?

I was walking in a movement area. I was in the wrong. He was just way over the top. I am not sure for whom he worked. He wasn't in a uniform just a blue shirt that said "Florida" on the front in orange letters.

Was in a truck with orange rotating lights and strobes. No other markings that I recall. He looked like a late 20's guy that really just wanted a fight. I'm past that point in my life. I just let him do his venting and sat quietly.
 
Did you hear anything about what happened with the plane? its weird it didn't make the news or anyone talking about it?
 
I checked news sites and didn't find anything.
TangoWhiskey knows someone in Ft Worth PD he is going to check with them.

I am considering just calling the FBO and just asking.

The pilot is dead and haunting your house. The haunting will stop once the body is discovered.

The pilot was little kid then.


So I called the FBO and asked.
Their response "We don't know anything about that"

So you're hearing voices in your house (love that thread BTW) and now you saw an airplane accident that no one else knows about. Hmmmmmm

Translation "we aren't admitting yet that we forgot to take the keys out of our planes and lock them up last night!"
