General de Gaulle and the French "resistance" liberated France...everybody knows that....

And what about the Vichy military forces, police and gendarmerie who cooperated with the Nazis so efficiently ?

I remember a town in Belgium that our high school band visited in 1971. Liberated by the US Army. They loved us there, too. I don't know if they are still teaching their kids about it, though.

Actually, the Slovaks could ask for a lot more, the place is up and coming (a LOT of cars a built there) but folks are still pretty poor.
