I just received my 10-year pin from AOPA in the mail. Wow!
 
I received more crap from them asking for money.

That's awesome! Does that mean you've been flying for 10 years, or did you get it after you started? (or before, I suppose).

AOPA doesn't send me anything anymore. Moving multiple times without letting them know probably helped. LOL.
 
I was pinned for 10 years bout 6 months ago. I didn't realize I was a member that long until I got the pin. Time flys....

The first time I flew an airplane was December 1999. It was a two-seat aerobatic open-cockpit biplane that I couldn't see over the glare shield of.

That works for lots of things - good and bad.

I've got a 25yr pin around here somewhere.. I forget if they sent a 30yr pin.

For the post that asked.. it's time since you first joined AOPA and have been a continous member.
 
Geez, I've been in since....? and never got a pin. It's been a lonnnnnng time, too. Oh well.
 
I got a 30 yr one earlier in the year.

I renewed in August. Then a few days ago I got a whole renewal thing
again with them wanting me to renew again 4 months later. They're
getting as bad as the magazines that constantly do that. It pee's me
off and it's low class. I'm sure I'll just not renew here sometime.

That's why I stopped. They spent more than my membership dues trying to collect money/sending renewal notices/sending membership requests to me when I was a member. I saw no reason to give them money to have them spend it all back on me.
 
I just recieved my Monthly renewal notice. I seem to get one every month or more no matter how long it is until my reweal is due.
