1. In an airplane
2. Above some mountains
3. Where the deer and the antelope play?

I give up. Biggest clues to me are the big rocky mountains and green grass. Wyoming somewhere?

1.
2.
3. Deer, but probably not antelope.
4. Wyoming

OK, I thought it would be easy since it's so familiar to me. I guess I was wrong. Not for the first time.

One clue is the ski area. Another one is the mine.

Uhmmmm...Telluride, CO?
Colorado, yes. Telluride, no. On the way to Telluride from the Denver area that day, yes, if I remember correctly.

Also not Purgatory.

Ahh.....I'll be going there in a few weeks actually. That looks soundly like Breckenridge, CO

Soundly it is. Enjoy yourself at Breckenridge. September is a great time of year there! :cheerswine:

Elk Mountains just north of Aspen looking southwest toward Crested Butte?

We are just to the east of Breckenridge (the ski area in the right foreground) looking southwest. The river in the foreground is the Blue River. The mine in the center of the picture is the Climax Mine. The town of Leadville would be in the valley behind it.

The valley where Aspen is located is far in the background. The single mountain with snow just to the right of center on the horizon is Mount Sopris, near Carbondale. The snow covered mountains to the left of it is the range south of Aspen.

I thought Breck for awhile and then talked myself out of it.

Thanks, those are fun.
