Paul Newman gone

Ahhh man... he was a great actor. Recently, I saw Sting for the first time in over a decade. That's a great movie.

"The embarrassing thing is that the salad dressing is outgrossing my films," Newman once wryly noted.

I saw this on CNN as we were checking out at breakfast this morning.
The Sting is great but my favorite is Cool Hand Luke.
Sad day indeed, RIP.

Some of his other movies are more famous but my all time favorite is Absence of Malice. And as far as I can tell, Newman was a very good person off the stage. It's sad to learn he's gone.
 
Great race car driver, too. A class act, to be sure. A lot of the younger set in Hollywood could stand to learn from his example.
 
He will be missed. A class act for sure, he was very involved here in my local community (Fairfield County).

RIP, Paul Newman.

He was a great actor, and from what I understand a great human being. We were on opposite sides of the political spectrum, but I respected him because he walked the walk - he gave millions to charity.

Paul Newman. Steve McQueen. Charleton Heston. Real men.
