I notice you got there early… I’m sure Jamie was happy not be be in the thick of it.

BTW, I love 310’s. Your airplane has perhaps the nicest paint job I’ve ever seen. Beautiful.
 
I guess you found a way to make Jaime less nervous lol. You guys camping for two weeks?

I'm hoping to make it up next Wednesday. Planning FLD if OSH is full. It'll be my first time; really hope we get to camp on the field.

She flew up because the craziness/NOTAM procedures weren’t in effect. She came to help me set up the site. We’ll be in and out during the show a few times so I went up early to get an easy in/out spot. Unfortunately I think I’ll be flying and she’ll be driving. I’m still hopeful but wouldn’t put money on it. Maybe Tequila could do the trick.

Thanks @Kritchlow ! I was a little unsure with how it would turn out when I dropped it off at the paint shop with a crayon drawing of what I wanted. Couldn’t bring myself to paying for a professional designer to work something up!
 
What? Your there already? No Notam, no traffic? Isn’t that cheating a little?

Are you gonna be working? Maybe trying to keep us in line past Ripon?

If camping already, you’ll be ready to leave before Monday.

I bet it is a great camping spot.
 
That’s an awesome spot…convenient access to facilities is a bonus for late night shenanigans. Keep us posted on how it fills up over the week. Still trying for Thursday but work may have other ideas.

Not working the show. I did it in ‘07, ‘08 and ‘09. Too short where I work now to let anyone out for anything.

Just set up at a good spot. I’ll be in and out several times throughout the show…those probably won’t all be cheating. :)

Great! No standing water. Grass is dry and smooth. Slightly soft. I didn’t rut anything but did require a lot of power to get moving after we set up camp. Should harden up nice over the next day or two with no rain in the forecast.

Will you be around for the HOPS party Wednesday evening? It looks like your site is ideal for the party, not to mention your plane is ideal for hauling in the pizza delivery. No pressure there. But you should at least attend the party. We have a separate thread going for that in the Airventure subforum.

I plan to fly in Wednesday morning in my RV-14 and camp two nights at HBC. I'm excited to check out more forums about flying and less about building compared with my 2018 first time at Oshkosh.

I’ll be in HBC as well. Flying in Saturday, leave Thursday.
 
Or at FLD due to the entire planet arriving at OSH several days early...

Well if you are offering I could probably work in a round trip to my schedule if you need someone to drink it while you fly...
 
Be there Tuesday night and leave Friday morning.

Already scheduled for two night events, Warbirds party Wednesday and a Seaplane pilots gaggle Thursday. However, if anything involves another episode of watching Radar Contact’s lips melt again like RR, I can’t miss that.

Flying in Thursday to Sunday. Work is too busy right noe
 
My work schedule has changed and now I might arrive any of the days.
 
Flying in commercial to MKE and busing to the dorms where we are staying. Coming Sat and staying until following Sat.
 
We're flying in tomorrow, July 23rd, and leaving Sunday, Aug 1st.
 
Here now. Gone Saturday. Back Thursday. Gone Sunday. North 40 PoAers, where are you?

Are you parking the plane next to the hotel!!! I noticed you could do that there the last time I flew into OSH.
 
What row are they parked up to now in the N40? I heard about a hundred planes so far and not yet to the green shower house.
 
We are in Row 504, right behind the camping registration building.
