I have several folders in Outlook 2003 with rules to direct a message to a folder once it arrives. My question is, can I direct e-mail to different e-mail addresses to a folder? I can't figure out how to do that using rules and alerts.
For instance: I'd like my business e-mail to do to one folder (from my business e-mail address) and my different personal e-mails to go to other folders.

I've appreciate any coaching. Don't see this covered anywhere.

Best,

Dave

I don't use Outlook much - but i thought you could create a rule based on the To: address?

My Son came by and helped me: we actually set up a new rule that would do it. I couldn't figure it out and he went right to it.

Thanks for looking at it.

It's all better now <g>

Best,

Dave

It's always important, Dave, to have a young person show up to fix such. I used to be such a person, but am no longer.

Hence, I am old.

Hey lets extend this thread.
As my Netscape is nearing the end of its useful life.

What are our email options these days.
I have never like viewing email messages on a website, what programs allow you to dl them and read/store/manipulate/wallow in them, in-house?? Ie like Netscape!

Is there nothing that allows both browsing and email 'in-house' as above??

Dave - Thunderbird is more or less the replacement for what you are using.

I know of no modern browser that includes a full-fledged e-mail client built into it like Netscape Communicator did. Use a separate program, learn to like it :)

Dave is a Netscape Curmudgeon. He feels about Netscape, like I feel about WordPerfect.

Except, at least they still make WordPerfect.

They still make trailer houses too...

Just sayin' :D

You might look at Seamonkey.
http://www.seamonkey-project.org/

I don't use it (I use Firefox and Thunderbird), but Seamonkey seems to be something you might like.

Qualcomm's Eudora is still out there. I found it a good e-mail program until I succumbed to reading e-mail on the web. My mother uses Thunderbird.

I played with Seamonkey (browser only, not email); the browser seems thoroughly effective. No bugs observed. Fast, too.

I hope it rings the bell for you, Doc.

Ding, ding!
The dl was absolutely seamless and took zero preference entries to emulate Netscape completely. It even loaded my IE preferences.
I appears to even have some affiliation with Netscape. Maybe some ex-Netscape employees?
I can't believe it. I am going to get my wish! THANKS!!
